James N.

James Nakamura is a jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator based in Los Angeles. After graduating from Berklee College of Music, he spent a decade performing in New York City's jazz scene before relocating to LA. James teaches alto, tenor, and soprano saxophone with an emphasis on improvisation, ear training, and music theory. He believes in building each student's creative confidence alongside their technical skills.
